It was a rainy,stormy,thundery,night outside.

You looked at your papa as he finished reading you a bedtime story.

"The end."He said while smiling,you giggled then stared at the Russian with big (e/c) eyes.

"What's wrong little one?"Ivan asked as he stood up to put bedtime book away.

"Nothing,papa."You replied and snuggled in your bed.

Your eyes widened as he turned to leave your room.

"Ok,goodnight then little one."he said as he left. Thunder cracked outside the house and you perked up immediately.

You strained yourself from jumping out of your bed and hop onto your papa.

Well,you did have a fear of thunder.

Howling winds screeched outside your window and flashes were made once every lightning struck.

When a huge thunder struck,this time,you couldn't take it anymore.

You screamed and jumped out of your bed. Ivan stopped in the hallway to look back at your bedroom.

He could see a figure launching itself towards him and footsteps going fast. Before he can register what happened,you jumped at him and hugged him.

Crying and terrified,you clung on to him and whispered inaudible sentences.

"There there little (Name),"your papa said,patting your head. Registering what happened. "You can come to my room and sleep with me,da?"

"Da...."you whispered quietly,but loud enough for him to hear.

He smiled at you and picked you up,walking towards his room. With you hugging onto his neck,gripping tighter whenever thunder bellowed.

Ivan got into his room and placed you on his bed. With you still crying. He laid you down and joined himself,covering both of you with his blanket.

"You can go to sleep now,"he whispered in your ear,hugging you."Go to sleep little sunflower,I'll be here."

You hugged him back,smiling this time."To protect me?"

"To protect you."

"Promise,Daddy?"

"Da,I promise."

You closed your eyes,snuggled into his scarf,and drifted off to sleep. Ivan quietly sung you a Russian lullaby before sleeping himself.

Thunder struck by the window of your house. But to you,that was just a melody of a gentle wind by rustling water.

There was no need for you to be thunderstruck now.

"Little Sunflower,are you afraid of thunder?"

"Of course not Daddy! I'M NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING!!"

He chuckled."Well then,I heard that there was going to be another thunderstorm tonight."
